In some cases the async methods may never timeout

During a rebalance, async methods may (needs investigation) deadlock or more likely continue to asynchronously wait without timing out. The code in question is part of this commit: http://review.couchbase.org/#/c/46996/

I am making the ticket to fix it after merge of the commit above.
