Description
There were quite a lot of events that went into this but here is the timeline of what happened to the best of my knowledge:
- Created a Couchbase Server (6.5.0-2433) bucket with 1 million docs
- Started Sync Gateway 2.5.0-205 running against that bucket on the same machine
- Forgot that import was off so stopped SG and turned it on
- Started Sync Gateway again
- Computer became unstable at around 300k docs imported and had to force power off the machine (taking down both SG and server at once)
- Restarted sync gateway with the same config
- Got tired of seeing so much console output so killed Sync Gateway and set the logging to warn on the console. Also changed Sync Gateway to 2.5.0-239
- Went to lunch and let the import continue
- Came back to a confused Sync Gateway
This may be a non-issue (I expect at the very least it is not reproducible) but since I have it in the state that it is in, here is sg_collect stuff with debug logging enabled. Also worth noting is that during the import Sync Gateway shows between 100 - 125% CPU usage, while memcached shows between 275 and 325%. Memory usage seems stable for what it's worth (SG 0.5% and memcached between 11.0 and 11.3)
