Major Description
Today with a standalone application it is very easy to turn on logging for LCB by simply setting LCB_LOGLEVEL and log messages will be print to STDERR. One of the benefits of this is it does not reply on the application developer to implement logging. There are environments such as Apache/php where getting the output from STDERR is hard. It would be useful if a log file could be set for ad hoc debugging mainly by the Support team. Please note that this should not be used as a replacement for good application side logging.
