Explore the transaction fit errors

Locally I get about 30-something failures - some are off-by-one with the client_record testing, which probably has to do with a connection not being closed (say, a test failure).   But some are repeatable, so let's first look at those, fix what we can, create tickets for those that are minor enough to do post GA.
