https://docs.couchbase.com/java-sdk/current/howtos/n1ql-queries-with-sdk.html is where the first two examples, which sound like they will work if concatenated, are missing a key step in the middle. The imports are “all the imports” and then the example that follows is “a complete example” - but in the middle there is a key step, not shown, that defines and initializes a cluster object - without which the example is incomplete.
