What happens when changing "Index settings"

For the 4 new "Index" settings in the settings tab I don't see a message stating whether I have to take any action after changing them.

If these are all simply dynamic then we can close this ticket, but otherwise we will need to give the user some indication of what to do after changing any one of them.
