Index Rebalance text confusing

Under the index rebalance heading, the introductory text says:
"rebalance does not move indexes or replicas: instead, it rebuilds them in their new locations,"
That leads customers to believe that replicas are rebuilt as part of rebalance. Yet later, under the text descriptions for the various switches it refers to actions on "existing" indexes or those defined to the Service. That aligns with our historical operation after rebalance, which does not rebuild lost replicas.
I know from teaching our classes that nobody has a clue about what happens on index rebalance.
