Description
This schema identifies all the configurable properties. Note that these properties are either:
- static — changes require a sync gateway reload.
- dynamic — these changes can be applied through the REST endpoint and do not need a SGW restart. Currently this includes only changes in the logging category. Changes to these properties are not persisted beyond a sync gateway restart.
I think I've mentioned before, but the concept of a single config option being either static or dynamic is not true, and is just adding confusion to the docs.
All config properties defined in a config file (which is what this page is covering) are by definition persisted (and static), because they're saved in a file.
Some properties can in addition be dynamic (changed through the REST API without being persisted). These should really be covered on a case-by-case basis (e.g. under the "logging" description, note that it can be dynamically set through the REST API).
