Occasional OverflowException with PersistTo/ReplicateTo

As reported in the forums https://forums.couchbase.com/t/overflowexception-when-using-persistto-active-with-sdk-3-1-4/30148 .. turns out this is a reactor race condition, but there is a good workaround we can use to mitigate the issue.
