Description
On this page: http://docs.couchbase.com/couchbase-manual-2.5/cb-admin/#cluster-design-considerations
under the part about WAN Deployments it says:
"WAN Deployments: Couchbase is not intended to be used in WAN configurations. Couchbase requires that the latency should be very low between server nodes and between servers nodes and Couchbase clients."
But perhaps should say something like:
"WAN Deployments: Couchbase is not intended to have clusters or clients span data centers. Couchbase requires that the latency should be very low intra-cluster (server to server) and between a cluster and Couchbase clients. If you require the ability to be in one or more data centers, for example, please see the section on cross data center replication (XDCR)."
The please insert a link to the XDCR section of the Admin guide.
