Bucket stats can't display in GUI when index node down

Assigning this to RESTful APIs initially, to track down the chain from there.

I had to do a hard shutdown of my Index node because it went rogue.
(Separate ticket being opened for the rogue index node issue)

Whilst the index node was down, I found it was impossible to view the bucket statistics in the GUI, as the data fails to load.

The rest of the GUI seems to work fine.

Capturing and uploading logs now.

Dataset:

I have only the travel sample bucket loaded.

Environment:

3 nodes in Ubuntu 12.04 VMs:
1 data node/VM
1 index node/VM
1 query node/VM
