I assumed that a URL followed by a slash would list all available resources (cf. Stackoverflow question).
I think it should do so since it will be much easier for the programmers to work from the command line. You can zero in on the available indexes as you go, you can build UI components that use this behavior, etc.
I called this expecting a list of indexes:
curl http://localhost:8094/api/index/
Instead, I got a short cryptic piece of HTML
<a href="/api/index">Moved Permanently</a>.
I'm sure there's a reason for this but the text in the link sounds like it's suggesting a 301 should be sent back. I don't see this as desirable.
