Description
Snaps are a new packaging and deployment format for Linux that makes it easier for developers to control their software's runtime environment and release cycle. It accomplishes this by bundling the exact versions of dependencies that are used in development and testing, and publishing updates directly to users.
Couchbase users would benefit from having a single command to install Couchbase Server (and other Couchbase products) on their cloud instances, traditional servers, and new IoT gateways and devices. Canonical also offers commercial opportunities for selling products and support services through the Snap store.
http://snapcraft.io/ has documentation for building and publishing Snap packages, as well as links to additional resources and ways to get help from the snappy community. I am also available to answer any questions about snap packaging, you can email me at mhall119@ubuntu.com for assistance or to schedule a call.
