Description
Using the 2777 MSI installer on a freshly built image of Win 10 Creators Edition (1703), itself installed in unlicensed mode.
couchbase-server-enterprise_5.0.0-2777_windows_amd64.msi
Running through a user account with full administrator privileges, the setup wizard failed (multiple attempts), and rolled itself back gracefully with no apparent artifacts left behind, each time.
I ran the MSI using the built in, elevated administrator account. I had to follow these instructions to enable this capability, as the usual "right click, run as admin" was not available.
The installer ran, and this reported successful completion. Couchbase installed normally to C:\Program Files\Couchbase\Server. But, no shortcut was added to the startup menu or desktop, nor is Couchbase searchable locally on Cortana ("ask me anything").
CouchbaseServer does install and run as a service, though. I was able to browse localhost:8091, complete the setup wizard, and install built in sample data.
