    Description

      From Support Team:

Pain Point: Many customers refuse to collect and provide our logs for various reasons.
Complaints about the actual size which can be multi-gigabytes for each node. Slow to collect and upload for the customer, expensive for us to download, store and parse. Some customer environments have network blocks to Amazon Services. Our support ticketing system ZenDesk has a 20MB attachment limit. In a P1 situation, log collection delays us providing assistance as quickly as possible. Log collection causes cluster problems such as out of disk space and KV timeouts Customers complain about the need for additional full log collections after they’ve already been provided.

The information to be displayed is listed in the following Google doc:

The purpose of this feature is to provide information about the cluster that would be readily available for the client to copy and paste into an email to the Couchbase support team or into Zendesk. Ideally, we would automate the creation of a Zendesk ticket with the information pre-populated in the body of the ticket, though this is a nice-to-have rather than a requirement. The ability to copy text using the standard OS (i.e Command + C) is required, though the underlying UI control can be a simple non-editable control that displays text.
