Description
As outlined within our documentation, https://docs.couchbase.com/server/6.0/install/install-package-windows.html, the windows installer should adjust the range of ephemeral ports :
By default, the Windows system does not provide an adequate number of ephemeral ports for Couchbase Server clusters. Without the correct number of open ephemeral ports, you can experience errors during rebalance, timeouts on clients, and failed backups.
The Couchbase Server installer will automatically check for your current port setting and adjust it if needed.
However, this does not appear to be the case and installing Couchbase Server on windows does not appear to modify this range during the installation when using the installer wizard. By default the range of ephemeral ports is 49152 to 65535 within Windows Server 2008-16, however older versions of Windows do not have this default. Modifying the port range to reflect the pre 2008 range does not get modified by the installer wizard.
