    Description

Although there's nothing wrong with using WhoAmI() to detect network status, of late we have observed leaks in go-couchbase (which is used by WhoAmI()), eg MB-35811.
The net effect is that frequent use of WhoAmI() might exacerbate a leak condition, like it has been seen in MB-36137.
