Allow for better monitoring of active sessions/connections into the cluster

We should be able to monitor and administer active connections/sessions via the query services. This should include all entities that are actively using the database services. This makes sense now as we are user/role (RBAC) based.

As a base to start from it would be useful to track what is on offer by the competition in terms of features and functions, around this and other 'management' functions and how easy these make the target DB to administer/manage.
