add_node fails under ubuntu

1) install couchbase on two nodes
2) setup couchbase on node 1
3) attempt to add the second node to the first, from the first node
add fails
4) attempt to join the first node from the second node
join fails

It seems that clustering ubuntu nodes together isn't working

I tried both adding a node, and joining a cluster (in the setup screen)
