[6.6.3] Intermittent failure in ep_testsuite "seqno stats" test

      As reported via unit-simple-test Jenkins job on 6.6.3 (mad-hatter branch); we are seeing intermittent failures of ep_testsuite "seqno stats" test:

      Test is maybe failing ~10% or less of the time on 6.6.3.

      Potentially the same issue as MB-26476 which is marked fixed on master.
