In mixed mode cluster return error response as JSON instead of plaintext

    Description

      In mixed mode cluster, try to fetch events from 7.1 node using `/events` endpoint returns a plain text response.

      $ curl -X GET -u Administrator:password 172.23.105.244:8091/events
      		 
      This http API endpoint isn't supported in mixed version clusters

      Requirement: It would be nice to have a standard json reply like,

      {"errors": ["This http API endpoint isn't supported in mixed version clusters"]}
