    Details

      Description

We should consider doing something. For example simply renaming /opt/couchbase/lib/couchbase/erl_crash.dump to add some unique suffix.

We can probably use ERL_CRASH_DUMP environment variable here.

          Added to RN as Fix:

In the past data files from crashes have been overwritten by new crashes. This has been
          resolved by providing unique suffixes.

Please note that as far as I know this patch was not ported to windows. So crash dumps will have unique suffixes only unixes.

          Changed rn to known issue:

In the past data files from crashes have been overwritten by new crashes. This has been
resolved by providing unique suffixes for Couchbase Server 2.0 on Unix Platforms. This is
          not yet supported on Windows.
