Description
Some customers may want to use a load-balancer in front of a remote cluster (not ideal) and not use DNS SRV entry to point a source XDCR to the load balancer (against recommendation). Instead, it uses an IP address directly (also against Operator recommendation).
In this scenario, XDCR will find that the IP of the load balancer is not part of the remote cluster and replace the IP with a node from the remote cluster. If the customer were to use a DNS entry to point to the load balancer, then this would not have happened. However, some customers may want to proceed "AMA".
Said customers do not want this behavior and we can provide a hidden way to opt-out of this replacement mechanism, at their own risk.
