Capturing the conversation w/ Ray C:
Hi Srini, I know we're in completely different timezones, but I wanted to tell you that we're getting ready to release a C++ Public SDK early next year (developer preview is going out soon). We plan to refactor libcouchbase to be a wrapper to this SDK at some point, so we want to start migrating all internal users from libcouchbase to the C++ library as well. We will not be adding new features to libcouchbase since we plan to make it a wrapper sometime next year.
Right now, our wrappers SDKs (e.g., Node.js, Python, PHP, Ruby) have been using this C++ SDK internally since earlier this year. So it's fairly well vetted at this point, and we're just looking to improve the public interface now.
Is this something your team will have time to take a look at? (We would like Eventing to migrate from libcouchbase to C++). How do you want to track the request?
