Description
While documenting some screen shots and other changes, I noticed the following:
1. Mark a server for removal in the Web UI
2. Confirm the server is marked for removal by checking the Web UI overview and manage/monitor server nodes screens.
3. From the command line, use couchbase-cli to initiate a rebalance
The rebalance appears to complete instantaneously - from the command line you get:
INFO: rebalancing .
SUCCESS: rebalanced cluster
Go back to the server nodes screen and the node marked for removal has not been removed, and is back shown active. The logs show that a rebalance operation was initiated with all three servers still active (i.e. no removals).
Performing the operation completely from the UI or command-line works successfully.
I suspect this is because marking a server for removal is merely a UI convenience, and it's the rebalance and remove operation that actually initiates a rebalance, but it seems disjointed to be able to mark a server for removal and that removal not to take place, regardless of how I request the rebalance.
