Empty directories are created in installation. These directories are no longer needed.
this folder is not used anymore and not needed.
Not sure how to remove that, it's something very hooked to autotools I guess.
to 2.0.2 per bug-scrub
Farshid, this is really my strong point.
Do you think this should be assigned to Phil (build system) or the installer team? (Bin?)
Jin, can you help assign this one to the right person. Neither Filipe nor me are into the actual packaging.
i think we can assign this to Phil.
this folder is generated when running autoconf
per bug scrub: Phil – any updates? Can this make it to 2.0.2 release? Thanks.
If easy to do, please get this in 2.0.2! It constantly trips people up when searching for logs because its topmost folder and empty
per bug triage, moving up to critical. we need it for 2.0.2.
pls verify / close.
Folder couchdb removed in linux from the path var/lib/ but I can still see 'couchdb' folder in windows on the path var\log\
build used: 2.1.0-702
Assigning back to Aliaksey.
Seems that on windows it gets created explicitly by the installer:
szTemp = "Environment";
pEnv = &szTemp;
Thus assigning to Bin.
pls verify in > 703 build
Verified with build 2.1.0-708.
Couchdb folder is not present for a fresh install. But when we upgrade from an old build ( 2.0.0-1976 ) to new one, then the folder is still there. Not sure whether to close this or not. Assigning to Maria.
Bin, pls take a look. folder doesn't get cleaned up after upgrade.
What's the platform? I don't think it is on windows because we will wipe out all directories before installing new version.
Yes it is on Windows only.
is this still happening in 2.2.0?
No. With 2.2.0 , this is not happening.
prior to closing this bug, pls specify the 2.2.0 build version you used to verify, thanks.
Verified with build - 2.2.0-736-rel.
