      Description

currently within a physical datacenter - multiple couchbase server nodes can be installed on and dependent of a specific rack, core switch, san.

If one of these pieces were to fail and multiple nodes were impacted - data loss could occur.

affinity should be configurable so that the nodes can be tied to a specific infrastructure component

Isn't this the same as MB-7616? I'd think we'd want to implement a more generic 'resource pools' as a way to align our ability to survive failures to the underlying failure modes whether this is VM hosts, ec2, power supplies on racks, etc.
