Customers are now asking for automated rebalancing. While it can be pretty dangerous, good to know that we have some scripts available that we could leverage. This is particularly useful in cloud environments and that we should eventually add as an option to our Rightscale templates. Sending to all that work on stuff related to rebalancing / cloud.

Automatic solution using REST for tuning and rebalance: Automation of rebalance is easy to script. If you have additional resources (servers) available, a simple script will be able to "Add" multiple nodes at a time and then "rebalance" the cluster. Here are the APIs to help you. We will try to give you some sample code as well. Customers use this on their on-premise systems and also on EC2 for example.
