      Description

The web UI does not care about the size of the screen, and instead of using the available size on the screen it truncates the data instead. (see attached screenshot)

In the case of the views the ALL start with _design/, so it should rather chop of that part than replacing the end of the design document name. I don't think the "language" column is that important, because AFAIK we don't support anything else than javascript in Couchbase Server.

          Stubmled upon this today.

I think we can do these things easily to make it better:

          • chop off the _design since its always the same and has no value for the user.
          • get rid of the "language" part here because 1) we always use javascript 2) even if we want to support more, it only makes sense inside the view when you code it.
          • make the left column wider so that there is not such a large gap in between
          • potentially drop the "status", but I'm not sure on this point because I have never seen anything in this column.

Alk what do you think, especially about 1-3?

I think this entire piece of UI needs redesign. No need to discuss this to much IMHO

Does this mean we plan a UI redesign of this in the next release? Otherwise I think they are small changes but can have positive impact on the user experience.

Perhaps we should just do the easy thing while we're waiting for the redesign and just drop the language column which would free up some more space?

This issue came up again, customer has several design documents with the same prefix, cannot tell which is which when it truncates design document name in the UI.
