    Description

      Issue:

Couchbase running on a VM and referred with hostname.

Change the hostname of the node. I followed the following steps to change the hostname -

      1. Edit the file -

      1. vi /etc/sysconfig/network

      Set HOSTNAME=newhostname.hq.couchbase.com

      2. Type the command -

      1. hostname newhostname

      3. Edit the file -

      1. vi /etc/hosts/ (change old hostname to new)

Result : No change on couchbase UI. Restart machine/couchbase server. Still no change/message.

Also, I am not sure whether the above steps I performed works on VMs or not. These steps works for a normal machine. But not sure about VMs.
