Couchbase 2.0.1
Description
In working with Level3 the following question was posed:
"I am looking for a pointer on using the couchbase java API. Specifically with memcached buckets.. I am having a hard time getting my java based clients seeing the same data in buckets as the perl library does.. And believe the problem is that the PERL API and the Java API are using a different hashing mechanism, for getting keys into the backend memcached (CRC vs KETAMA ?)"
I followed up with the following to gather a bit more detail. I pointed out that the observation might occur if you’re not using a Couchbase SDK for both JAVA and PERL development. Another alternative would be to use client side MOXI on the application servers to handle communication with the Memcached cluster.
The customer confirmed he is using Java 1.3.2 and 1.4.1-dp for perl..
