    Description

      PEP-440 allows the following release suffixes:

      .devN, aN, bN, rcN, <no suffix>, .postN

      • Use .devN, aN and bN for development and pre-release via Jenkins pipeline.
      • Use rcN for release candidates via Jenkins pipeline
      • Use <no suffix> for release
      • Use .postN rarely, if ever, for fixes after a release (could also be used in conjunction with pre-release and release candidates).

      Where N is a non-negative integer.
