    Description

      The C4NativeReference type occasionally fails, on Android, because the private final lock used for synchronization is null when the subclass is finalized.

      Lauren has code that drives this condition, reliably.

      We need to:

      • create a minimal case
      • understand what's going on
      • work around it
      • report a bug, if that is what it is.
