"double free or corruption" seen during FIT/PERF transactions testing

    Description

      I don't have much to go on here, but the FIT/PERF tests hit a "double free or corruption" issue.  Unclear if it's in the SDK or performer.  I don't really have cycles or the C++ skills to investigate this further, but FIT/PERF can be run pretty easily locally following these instructions and hopefully that'll replicate the problem.
