    Description

      Hi,

It is now possible to purchase extended support for all Couchbase products, and we have a number of customers who are paying for Server 5.x/6.x as well as various SDKs.

Can we please reinstate the docs for Server 5.5, as well as the last minor version for any recently EOL'd SDK (e.g. Java 2.7, PHP 2.6, etc.).

      Thank you,
      Chris

We're discussing the best way to proceed with this. In the meantime Chris Malarky, do extended support customers know that the docs for server 5.5 can be reached at https://docs-archive.couchbase.com/server/5.5/introduction/intro.html ?

            Hi Simon Dew,

When needed we'll direct customers to the archive, but better if the docs are available directly for them.

            Thanks,
            Chris

Just to clarify, Chris Malarky --

Do the customers have a problem with the docs being located in the archive - e.g.

            https://docs-archive.couchbase.com/server/5.5/introduction/whats-new.html

            https://docs-archive.couchbase.com/dotnet-sdk/2.7/start-using-sdk.html

            • or just in finding them?

Ignore that, I didn't refreesh and see you'd already discussed this

Perhaps what we're missing is a link to the archive docs on the main docs page.

Ray Offiah Maybe that too, but the ask here is that docs for products that customers are paying extended support for are not archived.

Docs archive is now linked from SDK individual landing pages, compatibility guide, and migration guide - see linked issue DOC-10200 - as well as existing link from release notes page.

            Also added to https://docs.couchbase.com/java-sdk/current/project-docs/metadoc-about-these-sdk-docs.html#older-sdk-versions

Richard Smedley Assuming there is still work to be done to reinstate the recently-EOL'd docs, as per the original request?
