Meaning of 'bidirectional' on the network ports page needs to be clarified

    XMLWordPrintable

Details

    Description

Currently the docs state that the port needs to opened 'bidirectionally' for node-client communication.

This is not actually the case, but it is trying to explain that there needs to be a clear line of communication between node and client.
Needs a little bit of rewording to make this point more clear and avoid confusion.

I don't see anything about directionality, but I do see some bits about communication between node and client.

Richard Smedley rewrote this page recently. It probably got removed in the most recent version when that happened.

https://developer.couchbase.com/documentation/server/4.5/install/install-ports.html is an example of what I mean, although I understand if it's not worth the effort fixing such an old version.
