Description
Helpful hint: if the user types “Shift-Enter” or “Ctl-Enter” after a semicolon, then the query is not executed. This lets users enter multi-query sequences in the workbench. It is not necessary to compose the sequence in a separate text editor.
With respect to the “Run as Transaction” button, it is no longer hidden in the latest builds.
I would not discuss composing a transaction one statement at a time. Given the relatively short transaction timeout, the user would have a very hard time getting all the statements into the editor before the timeout expired. I can see no good reason to do it one at a time when the user can put all the statements together as a sequence.
