    Description

MB-33866, which was tracking alternate address testing for XDCR – that alternate addresses of the target cluster can be used for XDCR remote reference (on the source cluster) – is closed, so testing is complete.

So, in the XDCR remote reference documentation, should note that alternate address of the target cluster can be used for XDCR remote references on the source cluster.

FYI – I opened DOC-9221 (information on alternate address should include note about port forwarding) per Pavithra Mahamani comment that information on alternate addresses should mention port forwarding, which needs to be enabled from target alternate ip:alternate port to target internal ip:<usual_service_port> for alternate address to work (when using different port numbers).
