Description
In Neo (7.1), we will be supporting ARM (aarch64) platforms for the first time. In the non-root installer info page, it currently has the download info for the x86_64 cb-non-package-installer, but, we now need to also include the download info for the aarch64 cb-non-package-installer.
Note: The https://packages.couchbase.com/cb-non-package-installer/cb-non-package-installer will still be valid for downloading the x86_64 cb-non-package-installer as before, for any users who have that URI scripted or continues to use that URI for Linux x86_64.
We should, however, document these since there are two different downloads now:
https://packages.couchbase.com/cb-non-package-installer/cb-non-package-installer-aarch64
https://packages.couchbase.com/cb-non-package-installer/cb-non-package-installer-x86_64
Doc update needed:
https://docs-staging.couchbase.com/server/7.1/install/non-root.html#perform-non-root-installation
The doc info currently says:
2. Using wget or curl, download the https://packages.couchbase.com/cb-non-package-installer/cb-non-package-installer binary. Note that the URI is the same for all supported Linux distributions.
|
Should be updated to say something like:
2. Using wget or curl, download the appropriate binary for your platform (the URI is the same for all supported x86_64 or aarch64 Linux distributions):
|
|
https://packages.couchbase.com/cb-non-package-installer/cb-non-package-installer-aarch64
|
https://packages.couchbase.com/cb-non-package-installer/cb-non-package-installer-x86_64
|
|
In the following examples, the suffix "-x86_64" or "-aarch64" is left off of the binary name (just using cb-non-package-installer), but you should use the full name of your binary when following the examples.
