Description
This is similar to the previously fixed GOCBC-1542, but for a different log line.
Customer is reporting high frequency (12x/second) of debug logging in Sync Gateway like:
2024-06-05T13:45:59.992-04:00 [DBG] gocb+: Ignoring new configuration as it has an older revision id. Old: 28827, new: 28823
|
As previously discussed, SGW downgrades gocbcore info level to SGW debug (to minimize log volume). In this case the customer is routing SGW debug logs to an external monitoring system, and the gocb logging is adding non-trivial amounts of logging. Logs provided by the customer show this logging continues for at least a four hour period (after upgrading to a SGW/gocbcore version that includes this new logging).
Two questions:
1. Under what conditions would we expect this logging to occur repeatedly? Does it represent an environment issue that needs to be addressed? Customer doesn't report any other functional issues in their environment.
2. Does this actually represent a scenario that merits gocbcore INFO level logging?
