Just noting that our docs doesn't mention Alpine https://docs.couchbase.com/nodejs-sdk/current/project-docs/compatibility.html

Thanks can the Fix Version be updated then. It says .future instead of the next version.

They will be able to use it with the current release however they will need to have a c compiler to compile libcouchbase. The next release will contain precompiled binaries so they will only need nodejs. If we wanted to, we could upload an alpine binary for the currently released version. Hope that helps

/ for clarity is this available for the customer today or the next nodejs release will have it ?

Alpine is tested in the build pipeline and the release process has been updated to upload precompiled binaries like other platforms
A user recently enquired about Node.js SDK compatibility with Alpine OS, including prebuild support.
At this point we think there shouldn't be any issues, having said that we also know this has not been tested. A regression on Alpine OS needs to happen to assert that it works on this platform.
