Description
Currently, it appears that changing the Bind Host of an already setup Couchbase Node is rather impractical.
There are some instances where the Bind Host is a static IP instead of a hostname, possibly because of an oversight, or because of migration from an older version of Couchbase.
In the case the IP address of the network adapter of the machine hosting the node changes, Couchbase will be unable to bind to the old address, becoming unavailable.
It appears that the only way to change the Bind Host in such a case is by editing the config.dat file, something that might seem rather straight forward, but can cause problems in the case the new IP is of a different length than the old one, and the length prefixes aren't modified correctly.
Offering a tool to modify the Bind Host post-deployment would be of great assistance.
