view link loads non-SSL version if using SSL port for web UI

I am generally using SSL ports for a deployment. I noted that if I click on the link with the URI from view results in the UI loaded over SSL, it does not automatically use the SSL view port. In a typical deployment, this would mean the link would effectively not work, since the non-SSL ports are probably firewalled off.
