Description
The Couchbase Server .deb package doesn't include the actual build number as part of the package metadata. For example, the status from dpkg:
# dpkg -l couchbase-server
Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge/Hold
| Status=Not/Inst/Conf-files/Unpacked/halF-conf/Half-inst/trig-aWait/Trig-pend
|/ Err?=(none)/Reinst-required (Status,Err: uppercase=bad)
||/ Name Version Architecture Description
+++-==================-==============-==============-=========================================
ii couchbase-server 4.0.0 amd64 Couchbase Server
Having the build number in the version (e.g. 4.0.0-1464) would both be useful for support and for ensuring that the correct sibling debug package is installed. The debug package must match the exact build number as the main package or backtraces / symbols will be subtly broken.
