      CentOS, SSD x 8 Core X 24G Ram
6 Nodes, 10 Buckets, 10 primary gsi indexes

    Description

      1. Setup cluster, create indexes
      2. Load < 100K data on 9 buckets and 8M on default bucket
      3. Keep ongoing INSERTS ( via n1ql) on the system.

Seeing the indexer resident memory size balloon to 8G.

I have set the Indexer quota to 1G

      • what is the expected behaviour of indexer, when it crosses the designated quota.
      • What is the purpose of this quota/ intention for setting this?
      • Current default 256MB seems small imo as a default value

      Attached screenshot of the system
