View responses in Sync Gateway are slower in 3.0

      A Sync Gateway perfrunner test reveals that some functionality based on views is way slower on Couchbase 3.x that it is on 2.x.

      This issue tracks this problem. So far it looks like it's not directly related to the change in the `stale=false` semantics that was introduce in 3.0.{markdown}
