ep_item_commit_failed remains 0 even when writes to disks are not going thru

I removed the “data" directory of a running node on my cluster and issued write workload.

But "Writing data to disk for a specific bucket has failed” alert was not generated. This is because the alert is based on ep_item_commit_failed stat. And, this stat remains 0.
