    Description

      Hello,

      our 'cbbackupmgr' currently provides a CLI. Customers are asking for a RESTFul interface. Here some rough requirements:

      • Cbbackupmgr is installed on a dedicated Backup Server
      • The backup/restore can be controlled from the outside world via a REST interface.
      • The functionality is expected to be the same as via CLI interface of cbbackupmgr.

      This is something which is important for cloud environment integrations where the Backup is controlled by an external system (e.g. job scheduler).

      Think this is a prerequisite in order to be able to control Backup/Restore from the Couchbase Admin UI anyway.
