Description
Summary: In the Community Edition of Couchbase Server, the MOI option appears in Cluster Settings. It's grayed out, but there is no indication as to why.
Repro:
- Install Server Community Edition 4.5
- Go to Settings -> Cluster -> Index Settings
Actual:
"Standard Global Secondary Indexes" and "Memory-Optimized Global Secondary Indexes" are both listed as options, but are grayed out.
Expected:
This appears to be an Enterprise-only feature. Maybe there should be some indication of that here. Alternatively, "Memory-Optimized Global Secondary Indexes" could just be removed from the UI in the Community edition.
Notes:
- Forum post of someone confused as to why these settings are grayed out: https://forums.couchbase.com/t/cannot-select-moi-in-couchbase-server-setting/11291
- Documentation of CE vs EE features that shows Memory Optimized GSI is an EE-only feature: https://developer.couchbase.com/documentation/server/4.5/introduction/editions.html
