Description
Sitaram emailed me a working query, yet when I copied/pasted it into Query Workbench, I received the error: "syntax error - at route"
As shown in the attached screenshot, "route" is clearly one of the "type" fields in the `travel-sample` bucket, so this is a very misleading error message. (look closely at the attached query, see anything wrong with it on the line that contains type="route"?)
After a few hours of trying different things with Sitaram, we finally realized the problem: Outlook had changed one of the quote marks to smartquotes–which is visually indistinguishable in Query Workbench!
I've since turned off my Outlook smartquotes to avoid this issue again, but for our customers who might run into this same issue, it'd be great if the Query Workbench error messages could be more descriptive–at least, detect and mention (or automatically convert) smartquote characters.
